The Gables Activity Centre was created in September 1998. The property has been extensively refurbished after having been used as a private home for a number of years, There is also a continuous refurbishment process carried out in the less busy times.

The centre is a family run business whose aim is to provide Activity Holidays, Day Care, Respite Care and a Rehabilitation service to clients with either a physical disability or learning disability and can also offer a service to clients with mental health problems.

Choice Care Services is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection as a residential home for the provision of care for nine residents up to four of whom may need a full personal care package.

At the Gables the emphasis as the brochure states "where choice and opportunity go hand in hand", is to provide a service whereby all clients are given the choice and the opportunity to learn and develop at their own pace, in the activities of their own choosing.

Activities such as Art and Craft, Information Technology, Flower Arranging, Horticulture and Pottery to name but a few.

It is always paramount that the staff employed by the company has the correct experience and qualifications to enable us to provide a service to the highest possible standards.

The Gables have in house instructors who are qualified to instructor level in the following areas, First Aid, Information Technology, Flower Arranging and Pottery.

Care staff employed by the centre are trained to N.V.Q. Level 2.

Choice Care Services have a number of projects pencilled in for the future, which we hope, will become as successful as our current business.
